20:23. రాజైన బెన్హదదు సేవకులు కొందరు వచ్చి ఆయనకు ఇలా సలహా ఇచ్చారు, “ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవతలు కొండ దేవతలు. మనం యుద్ధం పర్వత ప్రాంతంలో నిర్వహించాం. అందువల్ల ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు గెలిచారు. కావున ఈ సారి మనం మైదాన పాంతంలో యుద్ధం నిర్వహించాలి. అప్పుడు మనం గెలుస్తాం.

20:23. అయితే సిరియా రాజు సేవకులు అతనితో ఈలాగు మనవి చేసిరివారి దేవతలు కొండదేవతలు గనుక వారు మనకంటె బలవంతులైరి. అయితే మనము మైదానమందు వారితో యుద్ధము చేసిన యెడల నిశ్చయముగా వారిని గెలుచుదుము.

20:23. Now the advisers of the king of Syria said to him: "Their God is a god of the mountains. That's why they overpowered us. But if we fight them in the plains, we will certainly overpower them.

20:23. After their defeat, Ben-hadad's officers said to him, "The Israelite gods are gods of the hills; that is why they won. But we can beat them easily on the plains.

20:23. And the servants of the king of Syria said unto him, Their god is a god of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we: but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.

20:23. King Ben-Hadad's officers said to him, "The gods of Israel are mountain gods. We fought in a mountain area, so the Israelites won. If we fight them on level ground, we will win.
